Where to buy

Unfortunately, the majority of guitar shops in Colorado don’t sell flamenco guitars. So, what to do and where to buy?

If you’re on a tight budget and want to get in on the ground floor to owning a flamenco guitar, then check out the Guitar Center nearest you. Also, both Sweetwater (talk with Alan Moon) and Musician’s Friend have similar offerings on both new and used flamenco guitars.

Note: Although Córdoba GK Series looks attractive, it lacks acoustic resonance unless plugged in. Instead, consider the Alhambra 2F, F3, or Cordoba's F Series, like the F7 Paco Flamenco.

But, before you shop at the big box stores, take a look at following recommended guitar dealers. These shops offer a nice selection of flamenco guitars for the best value ranging from student model to professional level.

Skies the limit here but you can find nice entry level guitars to mid-level and professional level guitars for the gigging musicians at reasonable prices like Hermanos Camps, or Loriente. I play on an HC as does local musician Tito Malaga.

Specialized services like Guitar Salon or Dan Zeff Guitars offer an impressive array of quality, traditionally built guitars with exceptional resonance and playability over some of the production line options found at the national chains stores. Dan Zeff is widely regarded as a top authority on guitar makers and a deep connoisseur of guitars, both vintage and contemporary. He offers an impressive selection of instruments at remarkable prices that attract enthusiasts and collectors alike. Let him know I referred you. 😉
