Class Policies

Class Policies

  • Advance registration of your classes is required.

  • Your spot is not reserved until you have submitted payment.

  • Payment is online only and will not be accepted at the door.

  • There are no refunds for missed classes.

  • Once classes have begun, payment is non-refundable.

  • With advanced permission, missed classes may be made up within the same session.

  • Classes missed due to illness or other unforeseen circumstances can be made up at a later date in another class of the same or lower level. Classes are to be made up within 2 months of missed class.

  • Colorado Institute of Flamenco is not responsible for injuries sustained during class sessions or rentals.

  • Colorado Institute of Flamenco reserves the right to cancel any class with fewer than 3 students

  • Severe Weather Policy: Class may be canceled due to severe weather. Follow our Facebook page for information or call (720) 202-7380 during business hours.

We generally follow the Denver County School Calendar for closing. Please note: We will NOT close for Denver County Winter Break or MLK Day. If you attend a school district outside of Denver County, please let us know if your child will be missing class (for example, a different Spring Break, etc.).

  • INSTRUCTOR RESPONSIBILITES:   Your instructor will provide a policy sheet at your first lesson, which will include a teaching schedule, holidays, and lesson cancellation/make-up policies. Please add your instructor’s phone number into your cellphone contact list.

 

  • LESSON SCHEDULING: Each CIF instructor keeps their own calendar. You may also view their calendar online at www.cifdenver.org/private-instruction. Your lesson slot has been reserved for you, and you have agreed to attend on a weekly or bi-weekly or monthly basis. Inform your instructor of any conflicts to schedule a make-up lesson or cancel with at least 24 hours’ notice.

 

  • CONTACTING CIF INSTRUCTORS:   Please communicate directly with your instructor via text to notify of a lesson cancellation, conflict, vacation, etc. In general, calls should be restricted to courtesy calls to inform your instructor that you will be late for the lesson or of an emergency cancellation.

 

  • CREDITS:   NO credits or refunds are issued for missed lessons with less than 24 hours’ notice. You are not billed for lessons cancelled by the instructor.

 

  • BILLING/MAKE-UPS:    You are billed according to the number of lessons received each month, plus any lesson cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice. Please review CIF’s cancellation policy.  You are expected to attend your assigned lesson day/time each week, bi-weekly, or monthly.  Some months have 5-weeks depending on the day of your lesson, giving you the option to take and pay for all 5, or skip a week. If you are on a bi-weekly basis you may take 3 lessons or skip a week.


COVID-19.

Colorado Institute of Flamenco no longer requires proof of vaccination for new incoming students. However, Colorado State Health Orders states that face coverings are still highly recommended for those who are immunocompromised and those who are unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated or boosted.

CIF Tuition Program.

Students and participants enrolled in weekly private instruction for the entire season.

PAYMENT:  Tuition is due the 25th of each month for the following month.  This ensures our instructors are paid for all lessons taught. Please make your checks payable to: Colorado Institute of Flamenco and mail it to the letterhead address.  Checks are not collected by the CIF instructor.

Instructors will receive notice of student’s non-payment, in which case instructors have the right to discontinue lessons until payment is received. 

 

CREDIT CARD PAYMENT OPTIONS:  For your convenience, we offer automatic credit or debit card payment.  Your card is run on the 1st day of the month.  Forms are available up on request. Payment may also be submitted by through the CIF website.  Full statements of your account are available upon request.  A process fee of 2.9% will be added to all Credit/Debit card payments.  No process fee is applied to ACH transfers.

 

TERMINATIONS:  CIF requires a 14-day notification of termination of lessons, via email or text to both the CIF office and your instructor. Upon notification, two weeks’ lesson tuition is due. This ensures we have the ability of fill the open lesson slot.


Cancellation Policies:

Private & Semi-Private Lessons


  • Cancellations outside of 3-days prior to the lesson: a $20.00 cancellation fee will be charged automatically to your account, and a make-up lesson will be scheduled.

  • Cancellations within 3-days prior to the lesson: a $25.00 cancellation fee will be charged automatically to your account, and a make-up lesson will be scheduled.

  •  Cancellations within 24-hours for a non-emergency : the cost of the lesson is non-refundable. The lesson can be rebooked but is considered a new lesson.  Rates and fees will apply.

  • Cancellations within 24-hours for an emergency : the cancellation fee is waived, and the lesson is simply rescheduled.  However, please note, rescheduling the lesson must take place within the same month the original lesson was booked.

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY

To keep our students and instructors safe, we have established the following class cancellation policy during winter weather situations. During a Winter Weather Advisory for Denver County. We will automatically cancel in-studio classes during that advisory period. If this occurs, we will automatically add the appropriate number of make-up classes to the end of the class session.
